Pyscho Daughter Mattie Dixon Jailed For 17 Years For Murdering Her 60 Year Old Father With A Butcher Knife Over A Set Of Car Keys
A Virginia woman was sentenced to 17 years in prison for stabbing her father to death with a butcher’s knife in a fight over car keys.
Mattie Dixon was found guilty of murder causing the death of her father Jerome Isiah Dixon, who was found dead in a car abandoned along a roadway in Henrico County. The victim, 60-year-old Jerome Isiah Dixon, was found inside a vehicle with several stab wounds.
She told the court Wednesday that she’s still coming to terms with the fact “that my father died at my hands.”
Police arrested 27-year-old Mattie Therese Dixon after they were called for a stabbing at Brook Road near the intersection of Villa Park Drive.
Attorney Shannon Dillon says Dixon was taken to a psychiatric hospital by police days before she attacked her father. Dixon’s aunt and uncle, Sandra Dixon and James Dixon, testified that their niece also had stopped taking her bipolar disorder medication.
